L'Oreal's new Colour Riche Le Balm lipstick displays are popping up at drugstores. These are tinted lip balms containing all the good stuff like shea butter, argan oil, and SPF 15.

Caring Coral on top and Nourishing Nude on bottom, isn't the tinted cover pretty?
At first look, you may think the Le Balms are similar to Revlon's new Lip Butters, but they're not. Le Balms are smoother and more moisturizing, but they're also on the sheer end of the spectrum. The swatches above are Caring Coral (left) and Nourishing Nude (right). I haven't tried the darker shades from this range yet, so I can't speak for them.
What do you guys think?
XOXO, M

ReplyDeletethe cover is indeed super pretty!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried these but the tint looks nice.

yes! le balms just started showing up at drugstores. Lip butters are pretty picked over at the places that had the display.
ReplyDeleteSo i guess theyr not pigmented? Hence the title balm lol! Maybe u could do a comparison between the revlon lip butters and this loreal balm!
ReplyDeleteRevlon lip butters are supposed to be shiny balms too but they're mostly pigmented.
ReplyDeletewhattttttt? Didnt know they came out with this!! Where did u find it?
ReplyDeleteyeah maybe Le Balms are more like tinted lip conditioners and the Lip Butters are supposed to be moisturizing Lipsticks? I personally didn't like how pigmented the Lip Butters were, so Le Balm will probably be the better alternative for me. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI wana try these and revlons lip butters but im not sure if they sell them in the UK

What are the colors you swatched here? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCaring coral to the left and Nourishing Nude to the right :)
ReplyDeletetoo sheer for me, but i bet they moisturize well
ReplyDeleteWhat drugstore exactly did u find the lip balm?
ReplyDeleteharmon's inside bed bath
ReplyDeleteIs it anything like the maybelline babylips?
ReplyDeleteThey look pretty but to be honest, I'm not a fan of the packaging. So I guess I'll pass for now or until there's a good sale. :P
ReplyDeleteI found that although I did like how pigmented the Revlon lip butters were, they also were very drying on my lips and emphasized any lines I have in my lips.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I LOVE these L'Oreal Le Balms! I have only bought one so far (Caring Coral) and I seriously did not expect it to be as moisturizing as it is! I love it! I also don't mind that it isn't crazy pigmented because I feel more comfortable at work when I am not wearing lipstick (or anything overly pigmented). These also seem to emphasize and bring out my naturally pigmented lips which I appreciate.
Do you find that these are similar to the Dior Addict Lip Glow? I think the packaging is similar.
Thanks for the review! : )
