I'm not so blessed in the lash department so mascaras and fake lashes are my best friends. I received a sample sized version of the Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash mascara and have been using it the last three weeks. The regular sized mascara is priced high at $22 for 7g.
The wand itself is thick and dense, you'll want to wipe it off a few times before applying as it does clump a little.
my bare lashes are blegh, no length, no curl, and sparse ;(
After two coats of Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash mascara my lashes look full, slightly longer, and a little clumpy. I used a disposable mascara to clean up the clumps and separate the lashes. The formula is pitch black and helps define your eyes. You'll want to use a eye makeup remover to clean off the mascara, its stubborn and clings to your lashes.
A side by side comparison, I really like the mascara since it makes my barely there lashes stand out. I will be getting the full size version and recommend this to anyone looking for denser/thicker lashes.

I've never tried this before either. Your lashes do look more voluminous, but what would it look like if you curled them beforehand?

Have you tried Voluminous by L'Oreal? It makes my lashes HUGE, and it's obviously cheaper than Make up For Ever. The brush in your picture looks just like the Voluminous brush, just thought I'd mention it!

Ooh, it volumizes really well, yea? Have you tried layering this one with the Kiss Me Heroine? That one's still HG for me. I'm on my 3rd tube now lol.
did u experience any smudging/flaking/raccoon eyes? i have asian lashes, too, and find volumizing mascaras always do that, although i love the inital effect. :/
