I may never find a single mascara that can do everything, hold curls, separate lashes, lengthen, volumnize, and non clumpy. But I think I found the perfect combo in Shu Uemura Mascara Basic and Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash
Here are my lashes with two layers of Shu Uemura Mascara Basic. This is my all time favorite mascara! It separates lashes, holds curls extremely well, slightly lengthening, non clumpling but sadly it doesn't volumnize. With my skimpy lashes, I need all the volume I can get!

Here are my lashes after a layer of Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash mascara on top of the Shu Uemura Basic. The Smoky Lash mascara can really add volume, you can read my full review on it here.
What do you think? Do you layer two different mascaras to achieve the perfect balance?

Looks good! You have nice lashes to begin with too M!
your lashes looks great! I gave up on my lashes long time ago< i seldom wear mascara now and only on special occasions, I'd rather wear falsies :)
I have the MUFE mascara, but I havent even tried it yet
Sometimes I use 2 different mascaras but now I use Hypnose by Lancome and it's perfection!

I used to love the Shu Mascara Basic, but I found that it dried up too quickly in the tube!
Ooh, very nice! I'm not much into volumizing mascaras because I think I have decently full lashes already... and I'm really lazy. I have to admit I hated layering and combing out both the Shiseido base and Maybelline F'n'S every morning when I used those. I'm still quite enamored of the Kiss Me Heroine Long & Curl.
i also layer 2 mascara when i go out at times...majorilca for lengthening...Maybelle volume express or Loreal collagen for the volume...it works..but i usually use waterproof for the outer coating
^^ I wanna try MUFE smoky lash now that I see it ^^
me too... using 1 different types of mascara to create the ideal lashes..
Dude, Shu Basic is my HG mascara! Ok, now I have to check out Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash. ;) Do you use mascara base too?
