MAC All Ages, All Races, All Sexes Thoughts, Swatches

MAC wanted to take the one world theme to the next level with the All Ages, All Races, All Sexes collection. Shades for every skin tones was the concept. I didn't know what to expect from this collection and walked out feeling equally nonchalant. Most of the shades didn't work for my skin tone but I can see it work well for others. Being that it's a neutrals collection the swatches are pretty much a sea of beige and brown and at times hard to tell apart.

Limited edition eyeshadow left to right: Show Stopper (matte), All Races (matte), Banshee (lustre), Cross Cultural (matte)

I feel like you can find better neutrals in their permanent line so it was a pass for me

Limited edition Beauty Powder Blush left to right: All's Good, Personal Style

Depending on your skin tone they can be either a blush or contour shade. They have matte finishes and the color is buildable

Limited edition Lipglass left to right: Spirit and Soul, Liqueur, Glamour For All, Naked Frost

I'm not a fan of the sticky formula that MAC lipglasses are known to have but I did fall in love with the shade Glamour For All (a lovely semi sheer nude) and had to have it.

Limited edition lipstick left to right: Myself (lustre), Equality (lustre)

Myself is too close to the natural shade of my lips so it barely shows, Equality washes out my lips. They both apply unevenly but it was more visible with Equality since the shade is so light.

Limited edition Lipstick left to right: 5N (lustre), Empowered (satin)

5N is a buildable plum shade and Empowered is a medium brown, it is also the most pigmented out of the bunch

Even though it wasn't the most exciting collection it did capture the idea of something for everyone. Each person will find one or two things that'll work for them but not everything is for a single individual.

XOXO, M

  4. You're not alone, Mona. I also failed the "All Ages ..." test :-( When my friend and I sampled this collection, we couldn't find anything that really worked for us. Oh well, another time; another collection.
