Dry skin from dry heat during the winter months is a complete nightmare. Furnace heated air can reduce humidity to 10% or less, ideally you want humidity to be around 30%-40% to maintain the moisture in your skin. To counter the dry heat I use a humidifier in my room and keep the bathroom door open when showering.

Keep in mind that humidifiers are like air conditioner units, you may need more than one depending on the size of your living space.

ReplyDeleteOMG that's so cute!! Way nicer than the old piece of junk I used to have when I still lived with my parents in Ohio. Luckily, I haven't really needed a humidifier here in San Diego since it doesn't get that cold or dry near the ocean... but sometimes I really wish I had one at work where they only have extremes in heating and air conditioning! D:
