Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol II is the second edition to the ever so popular Book of Shadows released last holiday season. This palette comes with 16 shades (8 exclusives and 8 from the regular line), 2 mini 24/7 liners, and a mini primer potion. $48 available at UrbanDecay.com
Thoughts: Urban Decay did a good job of including almost all new colors for the second volume, Perversion is the only shade repeated from last year's edition. Volume II toned down on the glitter shadows compared to last year's, I prefer this set more for this very reason. Almost all the shadows have some form of shimmer, they're also all pigmented and smooth in application.
I thought the extras in this set are better than the brushes from last year. The 24/7 liners in Zero - black, Bourbon - brown with a touch of glitter, and the mini primer potion are all handy to have.
Packaging: The packaging is similar to the first Book Of Shadows, a top flap that flips up with a mirror inside plus a hidden look book and the bottom is a pull out section for the eyeshadows and extras. I'm not a fan of the packaging, the pull out section doesn't slide out so easily and the top flap has a tendency to fall down.
Overall I'm very happy with the Book of Shadows II and think its great for those of you looking to try out some popular Urban Decay eye makeup products.

Have a look at the shades, swatches, and quick look of the day below. I've bolded and noted the ones that are exclusive to this palette. Swatches are done left to right.
I did a quick LOTD with the palette...
I used Half Baked (applied wet to bring out the color) on the lids, Mushroom in the crease, and Perversion as the liner.
The two pictures above were taken with flash and the one below is without flash
What else is on my face?
- Face Atelier Foundation in Wheat
- MAC Cremesheen lipstick in Speed Dial
