I ran out of my beloved MAC Lip Conditioner Hydratant and didn't have the time to visit the MAC counter to fetch another. To my delight I was able to find something at the drugstore nearby to replace it. Aquaphor healing ointment to the rescue!
The Aquaphor healing ointment comes in various sizes, this specific one is the travel friendly version and is sold in a 2 pack. Each tube contains .34 oz of product. You can easily find the travel pack at most drugstores for about $6. Great deal considering the MAC lip conditioner is $13.50.
Between the cold weather and dry heat my lips chap easily...
Applied some Aquaphor Healing Ointment
Within 5 minutes my lips were smooth and ready for lipstick
Of course the Healing Ointment isn't limited to just chap lips, I just haven't tried it anywhere else. Maybe I should give it a shot on my ridiculously dry elbows?
XOXO, M
I just picked up the aquaphor 2-pack last week! I've been using it like crazy with this cold weather we've been having. I like it -- it's kind of like a fancier vaseline in more convenient packaging.
ReplyDeleteMy co-worker puts this on religiously! She let me try one time and it was SO RICH! :) I might need to pick this up for my lips too, they look like yours in the first picture, but my problem is that I like to pick on it :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great (and thrifty!) tip! I'm going to pick up a tube tomorrow.

Wow it seems like it really works well! Ooh I hate it when my lips are dry, and I go nuts if they crack! I guess that's why I'm addicted to lipbalm! LOL! Thanks for sharing this with us M!
ReplyDeleteCoconut oil and or olive oil works well too for the lips . I like Badger lip balms too .
ReplyDeletei love lip treatment/lipbalm. I got a lot of lipbalm and I'll finish each of them in like 3 to 4 months time. I even got a lipblam under my pillow, 1 lipbalm in each of my bags, 1 lipbalm on my working table, 1 on my make up desk, 1 in my bathroom, etc... LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder can we get this Aquaphor lip treatment here in Malaysia. Hmmm....

ReplyDeleteat the moment i use lanolips cause apparently it's like "medical grade" lip balm or something? you should try if you ever feel the need of a change :P
