Kyoto Day 3: A Day With Kay

I'm a lucky girl. Guess who came to Kyoto to take me out? Kay! aka Miss BihadaDiaries! She got up early and took a train over from Kobe (Thanks doll!) I told her where I wanted to go and dragged her around Kyoto with me :)

We started out at Nijo Castle...

very intricate up close

the garden

the castle grounds from above

We got sailors to take this pic of us, they actually took a pic with us but they have that one...

took a bus to Kinkakujin, the map of the area looks big but it really isn't

The golden pavillion, isn't it purty?

Where we did our wishes

I finally bought one of these and wrote my wishes on it

kay pointing to hers

me pointing to mine

We then made our way to Gion and stopped by Yasaka Shrine

believe this says Gion Matsuri

inside Yasaka Shrine

where we hugged it out

Picked up a delicious snack! Takoyaki, Kyoto style no sauce

Beautiful Gion! Kay waving hello

Our dinner, Zaru soba with shrimp tempura. DELICIOUS tempura

after dinner Kay had to go home *sniff* we said our goodbyes at the train station.

Arigatou Kay! For coming all the to Kyoto to meet me and taking me out :) it was a ton of fun and we have to do it again! XOXO

I walked back to the hotel. The lights turning on at kamo river

Looks really nice and peaceful

The Vids...

the following day I went back to Tokyo for more fun :) stay tuned
