Purchased the hairdye that
Eki recommended but couldn't find the specific shade and had to opt for a different shade

L'oreal superior preference in UL51. Left it in for about 40-45 mins and it came in pretty close to what the model on the box has...

note that my original hair color is black

I like it for now but might consider a lighter shade a month from now. The hair dye itself is effective but it dries out your hair. Also the smell is unbearable! I can still smell now and its been two days!
Onto something that smells good...
Sabon body scrub in Tropic. They have it in a few scents but this one is my favorite. You scoop out the scrub with the cute wooden ladle

salt from the dead sea soaked in macadamia, almond, and soy bean oils

It works better than Lush's body butter exfoliator soaps. It leaves your skin clean and moisturized. I use it two to three times a week and LOVE the feeling of my skin afterwards.
I usually followup with the Sabon lotion...

You'll notice that your skin feels amazingly smooth with this and gets rid of dryness pretty effectively. A ingredients list for those of you interested
My favorite scent is the Carrot one.
For more Sabon goodies, check out their site
HERE.
This is also on my
jewelry blog, I stopped by the Swarovski crystallized store after the blogger meetup and picked up some goods!

Hopefully I'll get to work on a few jewels this week!
XOXO, M

I have always been a Loreal Feria user , but gosh ! I know what you mean about the scent! girl I love how yours turn out! so pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteyour hair looks gorgeous!! i prefer ashy browns too. hmm...i'm still contemplating whether to dye my hair or get some highlights. wehehe.
ReplyDeletethat scrub looks tempting! too bad we don't have sabon here.
I do a double process at the salon with a darkish brown base and very dark red highlights(my hair is dark brown with lots of gray now, lol!), but I use Nice N' Easy Root Touchup when I can't get to the salon...it's fantastic and doesn't stink! Takes 10-15 mins max!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the color!
WOW your hair looks great!! I think I'll try this brand the next time I dye my hair.
ReplyDeleteEveryone keeps talking about Sabon, I need to give this brand a try.
Love that hair color on you. Looks so natural...
ReplyDeletemost hair dyes in a box always smell, though they say the garnier ones don't stink as much. I have the same sabon scrub, love the smell, though the oil stays on my skin and ends up rubbing on my towel making my towel smell tropic. LOL! sorry i wasn't there at the meet up, i totally wanted to go!
ReplyDeletei love your hair pic, you could seriously do a l'oreal hair ad!! the colour is great, i think black hair tend to go red with brown dyes.. which annoys me.. cos they always go brassy! *shakes fist*
ReplyDeletewow@ crystal haul cant wait to see your new creations :)
your new hair looks nice - subtle :) might have to look at that brand the next time I think about coloring my hair, Feria's been failing me lately.
ReplyDeleteI soooo hate that I missed the meetup! somebody totally owes me a ride the next time there's a meetup in the tri-state area =P
Ahh! Your hair loks gorgeous the color suits you niceley.I agree with going a bit lighter, it will compliment you not compete with you! ReplyDeleteMona, I love love love the hair color a lot! I'm always looking for a brown like this, but I always end up with a reddish shimmer - hate that, cause I wanna have ashy brown.
ReplyDeleteI think the darker color looks very pretty on you! ;)
wow, Mona! I'm surprised at how well the color shows up in your hair, considering that your hair was black! hehe that dye must work really well! :) i can't wait to see you with even lighter hair! yes, i agree with you! i hate it when i dye my hair brown and after a few weeks or months it looks reddish brown...HATEEE IT! i like neutral, ashy brown. still trying to find the perfect dye so i can have red-free brown hair! hehe xD and you enabler, you! you make me wanna try sabon products now!!! :( too many wants and not enough $$!
